Teaching in Geelong, Australia

Australia is the home of a series of textile forums held throughout the year, with classes in all aspects of fabric, paper, and book arts. This year’s Geelong Fibres Australia Forum run by Glenys Mann has 19 “tutors” or teachers presenting classes in felting, machine embroidery, book arts, jewelry, shoemaking, and a host of other topics. I am teaching a class in sculptural books and pop-ups for the week, and have a wonderful group of eight women who are working hard on generating ideas for their creative endeavors. Of course, it’s not all work, as you can see from the brilliant headwear worn at the Tuesday night cocktail hour. More to come…..
